Andrea MacMurray,
Pilates and TRX Instructor Andrea, a Keene, NH native. has been practicing Pilates for over 17 years with Pamela Clough. She began her journey as a student with Pam when she was in high school and has continued to practice throughout her adult life. “Pilates continues to challenge me. It has made me stronger in my other fitness activities and less apt to be sidelined by injury. I am committed to being a lifelong student of Pilates.”
She began her STOTT Pilates Mat teacher training journey in the winter of 2020 (right before the world shut down for Covid-19)! She was part of a group of students who had the benefit of learning not only in-person, but also remotely. It was an incredibly rewarding experience. She became certified to teach STOTT Pilates Mat in December 2021 and decided to continue her STOTT Pilates apparatus education and completed the Reformer Course in March 2023. She has plans to complete the STOTT Pilates Barrels, Ladder Barrel, and Spine Corrector Course in September 2023; as well as the Cadillac Course in October 2023. She plans to take the Chair course as well. “I am committed to my STOTT Pilates Education. I am also a qualified TRX instructor which I obtained in the fall of 2022.” STOTT Pilates is easily accessible for all; the exercises that we learn and perform have many modifications to meet everyone’s individual needs. STOTT Pilates incorporates modern exercise science and spinal articulation which is represented through the 6 Basic Principles of breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapula movement & stability, head & cervical placement, and lower body mobility & stability. “STOTT Pilates has provided me with the framework of the 6 Basic Principles to create movement programs. I use this comprehensive knowledge along with my TRX knowledge of foundational movements to design programs to best meet your individual needs. We are all different, and that is what makes us unique and special! Let’s work together to move better and ultimately feel better! My hope is to continue to foster a community of wonderful people who would like to be lifelong learners of movement.” |
